DDP or "Delivered Duty Paid" emphasizes the obligation of the sellers to deliver the products at the destination within time. The scope of sellers in this include tax payment, Customs duty payment & clearance and risk management during the transit. DDU or “Delivery Duty unpaid” arises when the sellers wish their buyers to clear the goods at destination port by paying the Customs duty.
Under both types, SAL helps sellers (shippers) with ocean or air freight, Customs clearance and delivery to the final destination. As part of this, SAL also handles border permits and local clearances in case of cross country haulage of cargo.
